Sara & Sarah
We’re Sara and Sarah—partners for over 20 years, proud parents to a teenage son, and lifelong animal lovers. Growing up in pet-friendly homes naturally led us to build our own little menagerie after moving in together. Over the years, we’ve cared for a wide variety of animals.
Sara has dedicated her entire career to veterinary nursing and currently works part-time at a beautiful independent veterinary practice while also managing the day-to-day operations of our business. When she’s not at the clinic or providing day care and boarding from home, she travels to clients’ homes offering services such as nail clipping, pet visits, and assistance with medication administration.

Sarah works as a laboratory technician within the NHS, where she specialises in creating cutting-edge 3D skull and oral models that play a vital role in enhancing patient outcomes. In her spare time, she also lends a hand with the family business, offering pet visits to our valued customers during evenings and weekends."

As a family, we founded VetNurses4u with a shared goal: to deliver high-quality, compassionate care for pets of all types—including those with complex health needs or age-related conditions.

We recently lost our beloved dog Larsson, who will always hold a special place in our hearts. His memory reminds us every day of the love and empathy each pet deserves. We strive to offer personalised care that makes your pet feel completely at home—whether that means lots of cuddles, special routines, or even snuggling under the covers if that’s what they’re used to.

Vicki has had a deep love for animals—big, small, furry, and feathered—for as long as she can remember. Growing up in a home filled with pets, she helped care for cats, dogs, horses, rabbits, and guinea pigs, forming a lifelong bond with animals through daily interaction and responsibility.

Although she initially pursued a career in childcare after leaving school, her passion for working with animals never faded. Fortunately for us, Vicki has been a longstanding family friend, and we were delighted to welcome her to the VetNurses4U team.

She provides day care cover from our home every Wednesday and Thursday while Sara is at the veterinary practice. Outside of her work with us, Vicki stays busy with her own family and the div8erse wildlife she lovingly tends to in her beautiful garden.
She is fully insured, DBS checked, and holds a current animal first aid certificate, making her a trusted and valued part of the team.

Jade first met Sara as a teenager during a work experience placement at the veterinary clinic where Sara was employed. It didn’t take long for Sara to recognise Jade’s talent and dedication — she personally requested that Jade be taken on as a permanent team member. Inspired and determined, Jade went on to complete her college studies and became a qualified Animal Nursing Assistant.
Over the next decade, the two worked side by side at several veterinary practices, building a strong professional bond and an even stronger friendship. Eventually, Jade chose to follow a new career path and start a young family.

Now a devoted mum to a beautiful baby daughter and the proud caretaker of a lively household of pets, Jade still plays an essential role in the business. She assists with in-home nail trims, pet visits, and medication administration — all delivered with her signature care and attention.
Today, Jade and Sara remain great friends and love any opportunity to work together. In fact, Sara often says, without hesitation, that she would trust Jade with her life.

Diane, Sara’s mum, has always had a deep affection for animals and passed that love on to her daughter from an early age. She instilled in Sara a strong sense of kindness and respect for all living creatures—values that helped shape Sara’s path into veterinary nursing. While Diane never had the chance to pursue her own dream of becoming a veterinary nurse, she and Sara’s father played a vital role in supporting and encouraging Sara to achieve hers.

These days, Diane keeps busy on the family farm with Sara’s father, Mike. Over the past 30 years, they’ve cared for a wide array of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, chipmunks, goats, horses, and even a beloved pet cow.

Since retiring, Diane has become an invaluable part of the VetNurses4U team, regularly assisting with day care and providing ongoing support to both Sara and the business.

Lucy first met Sara more than a decade ago while working together at a local veterinary practice, where she trained as a student veterinary nurse. Although Lucy later chose to pursue a different career path, their friendship endured, and they remain the closest of friends to this day.

Now balancing a full-time role in social care with a busy family life and her beloved Golden Retriever, Lucy still finds time to support VetNurses4U. She regularly assists with pet visits, dog walks and continues to play a valued part in the team, providing care to a wide range of animals with compassion and dedication.

Emily and Sara first crossed paths around three years ago, when Sara joined the veterinary team where Emily was already a valued member. Over the next couple of years, the two worked closely together and built a strong professional bond grounded in shared compassion for animals and dedication to client care. Eventually, Emily decided to explore a new path outside of the veterinary industry, and she now holds a flexible position in customer care that allows her to work from home most days—a shift that’s opened up new opportunities to stay connected to her love of animals.
Thanks to her adaptable schedule and ongoing passion for pet care, Emily now supports VetNurses4U by offering in-home pet sitting services. This bespoke care has become a favorite for many of our clients—especially those with dogs who find traditional boarding environments challenging. Emily’s gentle presence and attentive approach ensure that pets feel safe, relaxed, and truly at home in their familiar surroundings.
When she’s not working or pet sitting, Emily enjoys spending time with her beloved little dog Olive, whose cheerful spirit keeps her on her toes and brings endless joy to her days.
